And the week just keeps on going...

I've hit the ground running this week with no signs of letting up anytime soon. I am already very tired. The rundown:

Sunday: Got up reeaalllyyy early to let in film crew at library and stayed for filming. Results of library film coming soon to a youtube near you. Stay tuned.

Monday: Library Managers meeting out of town. Went really long. Then, had to get back to my library so that I could conduct interviews for a job opening.

Tuesday: Taught teleconference course that I have been practicing for months. Incredibly stressful. 19 people signed in for it and tons of questions. Seemed to go well, so will likely recap for the Jasper conference. Another job interview and beginning of hiring process. Evening staff meeting. Then, off to record voiceover track for aforementioned film that, thank gods, I did not have to act in.

Wednesday: Prep finance meeting. Call all the interview candidates that did not get the job. So depressing, but I hate leaving people hanging wondering 'did I get it?' Sucky, sucky, sucky. Generally quiet day, but the phone rang off the hook.

Thursday: Board Annual General Meeting. Spent most of day typing prep work and minutes of the Monday meeting which I had the great pleasure of recording (four typewritten pages later...)

Friday: Errands. More errands. Bills. Bleah. Left work early so I could remember what my family looks like.

Saturday: First Aid Training. And Thammuz's high school reunion. We are old enough to have reunions now. Oh, and FrozenEyes Birthday, but due to all the crap I had to do today, only able to send facebooked message. Which sucks.

Sunday: More First Aid Training and Test.

And then I work another full week. Monday-Friday seem just as jampacked between training new staff, vendor visits, weeding, more meetings, planning the schedule, and prepping payroll.

So yeah, 13 day work week. I cannot describe how awesome my Mom is who keeps picking up my kids, feeding them, and getting them ready for bed.

Burnout may be a possibility here. Thank goodness I have no plans next weekend except watching Spiderwick Chronicles with Pirateboy and SamuraiGirl (formerly Ninjababy).

333

Just finishing up an entire week off work during which I did not really update this blog. There wasn't all that much interesting to write about for most of the week, though.

Pirateboy had his first day of school on Tuesday - he is now in grade two! Craziness.

Spent the rest of the week cleaning. Seriously. The good news is that the house is almost spotless now. I haven't had this clean of a kitchen since before we moved in. My goal is to actually get our old dishes booted and to put all the shiny new stuff from our wedding two years ago out and start using it. I have a stack of boxes a foot deep and four feet high that is all unopened kitchen-y wedding presents in our basement. I have been too lazy to reorganize the kitchen to put them out until now. Very, very sad.

House was completely cleaned (minus one room and one closet) just in time for all our visitors this weekend with Thammuz and Ninjababy's triple-three birthday bash. Ninjababy was very, very excited about turning three. She thanked everyone, except her two honourary uncles who sneaked out during the kids' party. They thought she wouldn't notice and they could get away from the kids for a bit, but when they got back, she sternly looked up at them and said, 'YOU MISSED IT!' *laugh* Everything else went well, though. Next up is prepping for Pirateboy's birthday. A lot more extravagant: our soon-to-be-seven year old wants a giant costume party for his October birthday. I think I might try and rent a place to avoid cleaning up the mess afterward!
